Easy 4.5 mile run. It's amazing that 6 weeks ago I was doing this as a "long" run and now I'm back to this route as a mid-week shorter and easier run. I kept the HR down - avg was 151. Perhaps it's because I'm not as sleep deprived after the 4 day weekend?
I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the 8K Jingle Bell Jog on Dec 11. I'm not going to be really fast, but it's a good chance that I'll PR the race as the only time I ran this distance was when I did the Twilighter 8K with Sherry when she was first starting to run (we ran a 10:50/mile pace). The only 5 mile race I did was in 2006 when I was first starting to get into running and I ran it at a 9:32/mile pace. So although I'm not going to be running a 8:00/mile pace on this one (like my 5K PR), it will still be a lot faster than my other times.
