Ran with Sherry and tried to pace her for a sub-30 min 5K. The course was 4 loops around the lake at Rio...Sherry ran out of steam after loop 3 and couldn't push the pace anymore. Still, she only missed sub 30 min by 35 seconds - not bad! It was a very small field, but even if I pushed myself I would not have placed - the top 3 finishers all had times in the 19s and 20s. Since this race benefits the Alzheimer's Association I hope it is larger next year!
