30 min Tempo Run - at the gym on the treadmill. This is normally a workout I could do outside, but I really did not feel like running in 40 degrees, rain and wind - especially after the beautiful weather we were having up until yesterday. I set the treadmill for 1.0% incline, warmed up for 10 minutes at 5.5 mph and then bumped the speed up to 7.2 mph (8:19/mile pace) and ran for 30 minutes; after that I cooled off at 5.5 mph for 5 minutes. Total stats - 4.97 mi, 45 min (9:04/mi pace). The HRM function on the treadmill was going in and out, so I'm not confident in the reading which was 153 average...I believe my actual Avg HR was much higher.
