Jingle Bell Jog 8K - It was a cold morning - 19 degrees when I woke up, but it climbed up to 29 by the 9am race time. I started towards the back and ended up having to weave my way through the first mile. The first 4 mile splits were each faster than the previous one - 8:46, 8:32, 8:29, 8:25. However, mile 5 was mostly uphill and I ended up running an 8:30 for that one. Still, the fact that I ran a 8:35/mile pace for the race was great for me. I haven't done much race training - mainly just maintenance miles - so I feel really good about this. At PR at 40!
