About me: I host the blog www.RunningPhilosopher.com and write about mindfulness, science, spirituality, and how it all ties to running. I'm also a researcher, with a Ph.D. in education research, and run a small consulting company. I live in Longmont, CO with my wife and kids. |
Why do I run: I run because running is a metaphor for life. Whatever happens out on the trail (or road), you can bet you'll face the same challenges and rewards in real life. Running is a great crucible for setting goals, persevering through hardship, and building community. I especially love trail running, as it allows me to multitask -- getting in my running miles, getting in shape, and being in nature all at the same time. |
