My second 5k PR in less than a week, though this is due more to the fact that the course did not measure 3.25 miles like the last one!
The weather was a little iffy, kept watching the radar before the race and there was something that seemed to be headed right for us just about the time the race would start, but everything turned out alright. Rained a bit about 15 minutes before the race, stopped before the start.. then a bit of on and off rain during the race. There were a couple rumbles of thunder about .5 mile from the end but that was it.
I'm noticing I'm not getting passed in races much at all anymore.Ron made a comment in a pre-Peachtree email to me to see how many people I could pass the last 3 miles (lots!). I've kinda been paying attention to that ever since. I don't think any women passed me in Saturday's 5k and I only noticed one during this race. It's a nice change and a kickass feeling do be doing the passing these days.
