Frikkin brutal. Worst conditions on the reservoir, ever. First the 1/2 mile of 3 inch slush, no beaten path through it. My feet were in pain, then numb, then I reached the crossroads where a truck had driven. Running in the truck path was fine, and in another 1/2 mile my feet had thawed. There were long stretches of puddles in the truck path, but those were warm in comparison. The west side of the reservoir was plowed clear, just wet. The east, exposed side was simply brutal. Fierce headwinds driving freezing rain in my face. So of course, I took another lap of the reservoir before shortcutting out an alternate entrance. No way was I going through that half mile of slush again.
