Paid attention to splits, (1) 8:05, (2) 15:50, (3) 23:30, (4 1/2) 33:50, (6) 45:00, (7) 52:20, (8) 59:30, to the best of my recollection. I wanted to pull off a progressively faster run, but expected to start closer to 9:00 miles. I thought my pace should be slow, since I'm not running as much. I realize that things feel different, and that doesn't necessarily mean slower. Saw many bunnies at the Oxbow end, and a small bear near the home end. An old guy on a bike coming toward me said something about a bear ahead, sure enough 100 feet into the woods in the last wetlands, there was a little bear. I warned the walker coming toward me, who beat a hasty retreat. The FedEx workouts are opening up my stride, solid core strength. The lower abdominals are still pretty sad from the years in the call center. Wow, a real workout, feels great.
