When I got back to the car from my run, there were no keys in my key pocket!
I had a couple ideas where they could have bounced out and retraced my steps for most of the course. Felt like a haystack search for a needle in all the autumn leaves on the trail. I raked through all the leaves in the areas I had heard something during my run or where I had hopped over rocks or blow downs. No luck, except the luck of running into Dave Aronson on the way back. He and his wife were nice enough to drive me back home for my spare keys and back to the car. I was pretty exhausted after about 2 hours of running and hilking. Climbing the stairs to the apartment I was annoyed to have to reach in and adjust myself in my running shorts where pinching my nuts I found ... my keys!
