Crazy long run with Nye. The trail we followed at the end of wolfboro road never met up with the Appalachian, though it was kind of cool. At one point we found a yellow blazed tree and set off directly up hill, bushwhacking it. We saw no other blazes. We found an old road completely overgrown with trees several inches in diameter, which we followed and bushwhacked further to discover the Appalachian about a quarter mile past the summit. The appalachian was very cool. The run home on the road was brutal. I was doing much walking with a sore achilles. At one point I started to become incredibly hungry and was able to run better. We had each only carried 20 oz poland spring water bottles.
