Nonotuck 4

Notes

Just an easy run through the trail around Nonotuck. Nye ran ahead and did animal flow climber workouts until I caught up and coached him. I'm pretty beat up from BJJ but none of it really bothered my running. Achilles are pretty much under control too. Only occasional twinges at different spots and they are directly proportional to how well I take care of my calves. That seems to be the major problem. Saw a video encouraging hamstring work while the muscle is in contraction, in contrast to most hamstring work that is stretching, with the argument that there is no development of the contracted muscle and that is why it cramps up, etc. I'm thinking same applies to calves, and doing work with calf muscles in new functional patterns will help.
