Fucking brutality... copy from Cronometer:

Watervill Valley Mountain Race Championship. The right ankle was no better. I got it in its best shape and it didn't bother me running until one short moment near the top. I lost my footing and the right foot slipped back pointing to catch. I recovered on the run fairly quickly, but my stride was screwed up for the first part of the downhill. I was braking in an odd way and got blisters on both feet, but the sensation was of one all along the side and heel of the right foot. Eventually, I decided I could no longer brake. I embraced simply running, opened my stride and committed to the necessary leg turnover. It was absolutely nuts. The course itself was unbelievably severe, a brutal rockpile. From bolder hopping to 2" granite scree and dust.
