Won my age group! I tried to focus on the concepts of Evolution. Keep up a quick tempo with the legs, forefoot strike, rolled the hills, etc.
At the start I just rolled down the first hill and found myself towards the front of the pack. It felt weird being up there but I didn't feel like I was pushing too hard. I was able to keep a pretty steady pace. I slowed a little on the uphill portion of the W&OD trail but that left me with plenty of energy to out kick the two other guys I finished with and I crossed the finishing line very fast, probably shouldn't have fallen off as much in the middle but this was my first 10K and I was scared of over doing it. Next time...

5 - 7:02 (I had to hammer down to navigate the 5K traffic, this did wonders for my confidence)

last .27 - 5:50 /mile (nice little kick)
