Well this was a very poorly managed tempo. I was trying to take it relatively easy, as the goal was to work down to tempo pace at the end, dropping 10-15 seconds each mile, but...well, I didn't do that. I planned on starting out at 7:15 and dropping it down to 6:45 by the end but I couldn't get the pacing right and ended up running the 6:56. Then I was thinking that if I am already down that low, I might as well just try and go lower, so I did. And then the last mile I just sent it for no reason, and it was downhill a bit so that helped. Really headass workout. I need to figure out how to gauge my effort and pace better. It was way harder than it should have been.
