About me:
Started running about 14 years ago with our German Shepherd "Arnold" whom we had to put down at age 11 1/2.
Married, three grown kids, one is married , two in post secondary education.
Racing distances 5k - 1/2 marathon. |
Why do I run:
Because I can. Because then I'm not at home doing work. Because out there, no one can bother me requests. Because out there it's just me, doing my thing. Because for a while running was a big struggle do to health issues. Because now I am thankful for a healthy strong body that can run...hopefully forever. |
Why I started running:
Tried running as teen back home in Germany, did not have much support from family members. Tried again when our kids were little, too much effort to get out the door. Started with walking our then puppy german shepherd, turned into running very quickly about 14 years ago. |
