Notes
We had a great turnout for the race. Lined up as ready to go as i could be. The gun went off and Mark and I shot into the lead. I hung with him through the half at 2:30 and let him pull away on the top D. He went through the mile in 5:08 and i was at 5:10. The second mile was brutal in the sun and Mark really pulled away as i slowed down. I went through the 2 mile mark at 11:02 (long) and finished up in 5:06 (short). I probably could have run faster today to get under 16 minutes, but Mark was too fast and 3rd was too slow. Happy with the effort.
I think Mark could have run near 15 minutes if i was in better shape and it wasn't so hot out, but he ran a solid race pretty much by himself for the W.
