Gave it a good effort today. Went out with the mentality of racing a half marathon. First mile was the slowest all day. Splits: 5:41, 5:35, 5:29, 5:28, 5:27, 5:37, 5:37, 5:29, 5:33, 5:25. Felt like i could have gone another 3 miles at that pace. Which is good feedback for the half marathon coming up in 2 weeks.
The leg held up pretty well until the last half mile. It seems to be worse running up and down hills. Overall it was a great effort and a fun time. We should do it again at the end of the summer to see how we have improved. I think everyone ran pretty well today. Back to training!
