These shoes felt good. Aqua toe socks. Very humid 97% at start was just awful. Got a little better as the sun came up and the air cleared and got a bit breezier. Beautiful at head waters of South River, mist had risen to about half way up the trees, beautiful blue sky with puffy clouds, water high, lush vegetation around, lots of red-winged black birds. Lots of cat tails growing at side of road and in water ways. Gu at 4m water stop and water/gatorade mix. A little bit of water at 6m < 1/2 cup. Gu again at the 8m stop. Unexpected stop about .5m after each GU - hmmm. About half cup of water at 10m stop and rinsed off and felt much cooler. 2-3 cups of mostly cold gatorade, some water at Camp Barrett; felt good to drink cold. !/2 cup or so at 2m on way back, mostly just rinse in my mouth and rinse my hands. Forgot to take last gu at 2m. Immediately had ice coffee with extra half and half and a hand full of almonds on the way to body pump. Derek and Greg at the house around 5:35, just missed them due to bathroom issues. Try next time. Right back of hip a little sore during run, but mostly felt better after the nice long run. A little sore initially doing squats in body pump, then got a lot better after some stretching.
