Felt incredible. I didn't sleep a whole lot last night and had a long day of work, and I wanted a nap but didn't quite have time for that since I had class this evening. I wound up holding off on the workout then just deciding to skip class rather than rush the workout. It was a good decision.
2 mile easy warm up to the track. It was fantastic seeing so many people out on the track for the Thursday workouts. The wind was strong out of the west. I didn't really mean to hit such a fast pace (goal pace for work out was 5-5:14), but I was just feeling wonderful and 4:57 didn't feel fast at all or like I was really stretching myself. I could've gone all day. Maybe that's the point of the taper.
