Notes

I messed up on my run calculation and thought I was running 19 miles. I was at 2hr 14min when I get home, but that seemed way slower than I figured I was running. I felt so smooth and relaxed on the run, really strong throughout. I did have a bit of a struggle to keep focused on the run. I went back and forth on whether or not I should take the gel I brought along (Cholocate Stinger). I've been on a high fat diet since Thursday night and was supposed to be training my body to utilize fat more efficiently. It was mental torture having that little morsel of sweets in my hand not eating it. I think I may have convinced myself that I should eat it just so I could, but it felt like a good idea to simulate a race situation in which I'd be fueling. In the end it was fine though I probably should have avoided it. As a tradeoff I was extra attentive to any changes in my body. I did feel incredibly light after and much better able to focus.

So the run was a huge success. It was so nice to feel so good at the end of a big mileage week.
