This was the first pre-race run. More of a hike than a run for the first part. Felt really easy; wanted to go faster but I didn't know the route. Once I caught up with James we picked it up a bit and had a great conversation. All in all a damn good run and I hope I get to race in November. No promises on that end, but there's hope. I could easily cover the course in 7 hours (twice todays time), but most likely much faster. What was best about today though was being for the first time exposed to the ultramarathon world. I'm definitely at home on longer runs. The training seems slower than I like, but the mentality is there.
