That was a hell of a run. I got dropped off at Waterbury park and ride and ran to my mom's in Richmond. Fought a straight on headwind the whole time alongside 15-20 mph winds and temps in the teens. I had to cover my mouth to keep from breathing in cold dry air, which worried me since my run 2 years ago into a cold wind wreaked havoc on my lungs. But today was different. I was pretty impressed that I was able to keep up the pace (around 7 minute pace) and I think I probably averaged around 5:45 for the last 5 miles. Given the headwind and generally miserable running conditions, this was a big success.
