I was tired. I stupidly stayed up until about 12:30pm last night trying to buy those damn vaporfly 4% flats. I thought they went on sale at midnight, but turns out they didn't. Then I thought they went on sale at 7:30am, but turns out it was closer to 9:30. Soooo, I didn't sleep much at all, but I did wind up getting the flats. Excited to try those out.

The workout was interesting - both really easy and pretty tough. It felt sort of mechanical, like all I had to do was show up and the workout would run itself. It was tough because it was loooooong. Each individual mile felt easy, but by the last one I definitely had to dig a bit deeper. From the start, my legs were just tired, and I planned to just feel it out by going out slow and then steadily dropping the pace. I surprised myself and ran 5:02 for the first one. It felt easy and relaxed and I thought I'd come through slow. The next was a 5:03, and then after that they were super easy and I hit 4:59/5:00 for the rest.

Not exactly 4:50s, but more important after recovering from the race to just go out and give a steady solid effort.
