It turns out I can get easy access to the UVM track as an alum, so rather than tromping on the treadmill I ran up there for the workout. Waaaaay easier. Was supposed to be slower, but I felt relaxed and controlled throughout, with no problem hitting even splits. My last one was a bit slow because I was trying to run 5:15, 5:15, but I went out a bit fast in 5:11 and then ran an even 5:15.
The slow uphill march continues, but this was a big success.
4 mile warm up
3 x 2mile w/ 3 min jog between
2 mile cool down
I was able to pull up the previous times I'd done this workout. It's early in the season and I'm sure I'll get there, but man I used to be fast :)
