Notes
The first 2 miles are down hill (they're the same as miles 9 and 10, which explains the 5:42 mile 9). Mile three was a brutal uphill battle. I still don't quite know how I ran that slow though, but I do know that I didn't lose any ground on others. Miles 4-6.5 are on sluggish dirt roads with lots of snow on them. I felt great and closed really well. I wouldn't have changed anything about the race, which is a great feeling. New Bedford half marathon next month is going to be much faster and on paved surfaces, so I'm looking forward to that race as a different way of testing my fitness. Similar competition, but probably a deeper field. Thanks again for the advice.
