A bit nervous going in so I kept scaling back expectations until by Wednesday I had pretty much decided not to race. But by Friday I realized I couldn't not get out. After a frustrating workout on Tuesday I felt like racing all out wouldn't be productive and so I decided to just run MP and see how it felt. And it felt great.
I definitely have a lot of work to do to be able to hold 5:18s for 26.2, but today was a great step in that direction. I raced barefoot and the roads were pretty rough and the course is a long series of rolling hills with a couple steeper downhills so I think I was a bit more thrashed than I should've been.
