Notes
The workout was 3x (Progressive 1K (90%, 95%, 100% RP) w/ short recovery (1 minute) + fast 200) w/ full recovery. Very happy with today. Jeff Riddle was out there helping me, which was awesome. I ran watchless and he timed me. I ran a little quicker than intended on each interval, but my pace was consistent on each repeat so it was fine. The hardest 200 was the middle one because I was still in trainers. Each 200 was comfortably hard though (not all out). I did want to maintain some level of control throughout. I maintained form and effort on each repeat. Even the last one, I closed hardish (33-34), but I felt good. My breathing was controlled and I was tired, but not worn out.
I really enjoyed having Jeff out there. It took my mind off of what I was doing because each rest interval I just talked to him about Urbana. With this workout, I wanted to get some level of pushing hard off of being tired (the 200s), but I did not want to run the 1k's tired. I wanted to be fresh and ready to roll. Everything went well today. I'm hoping for no setbacks and to carry this workout into next week.
