Notes

What a run! Tough, challenging, but very fun. Shout outs to Jess for biking with me for two hours and forty five minutes and catering to me with the liquids. We ran all the way through Squaw Valley to where the trails started. It would be cool to do those trails in their own run, but it was not happening during this (they went straight up). About halfway through, the thoughts started coming in, but Jess distracted me with conversation which helped a lot. Felt like I was working pretty hard from 1:50-2:10 and after that I had the endorphin high once I knew that I'd be able to get it done. Really pumped about this. Had a lot of great runs over the last couple months, but I think this is the biggest boost for my confidence yet, having done it at 6200 feet. I feel good - I feel sore - but probably less sore than after the 2.5 hour run. Made sure to really get my liquids in today and I think that helped.

Liquids were just two bottles of 50:50 gatorade:water. So about 34 ounces of liquid plus a water break leaving squaw. We broke it up about every 15-20 minutes from 60 minutes to the end of the run. So I guess it wasn't a "continuous 2:45", but it was 2:45 in a 2:55 time frame at the very most. Either way, good stuff.

Also, side note, not sure why the elevation profile is so wonky around mile 12. I remapped it but I definitely did not gain 600 feet over a quarter mile
