Blue Jean Hundred.
Jeremie challenged me to a 100 meter dash on Wednesday. Told me he'd beat me, record the race and display it across the school. I told him no way. Thursday came around and I forgot about the challenge. He called me out after I walk over to practice in my sweater and blue jeans. I said let's go, took off my dress shoes jogged to the start line. Embraced the intensity of the moment. Jeremie got the early lead, I pulled even around 40 meters. He threw an elbow and we both almost went down. Stood firm and it was neck and neck as we pulled up the finish line. I gave it my best lean and got him at the line.
