Notes

Last big one. Justice joined me for the first 80 and then Sam joined us for the next 70. Gel'd up at 6/12/18 - pretty automatic now, the gels go down better now that I'm used to them and they sit well in the ol stomach. Focus was fluids and time on the feet today. Justice was kind enough to carry my water, literally and I tried to focus on getting a couple ounces every other mile. Everything was great until about 8 and my knee started feeling funky. Mainly stiff on the top, but then that started migrating around my knee and before I knew it I was slowing down, limping, and eventually stopped. Stretched for a couple minutes and then we just decided to get back to the school and see how it goes. Started feeling stronger as we went and around 10 it was manageable. Sam joined and we ran out in my house's direction, just in case. Funnily enough, I started feeling pretty good and we just got down to around marathon effort for miles 15-20 and felt pretty in control. Cooled down and tried to link back up with Justice, which is why that 21 was over-8, but honestly felt decent by the end. Or decent enough for just under 22. I could feel that continuing to go might have led to some hamstring seizing in a couple miles later, so keeping my eye on that for two weeks from now.

Some bad news was that the ankle pain was back and prevalent for pretty much the last 14 miles. I think I can get through that, but an hour later I am hoping that my knee stiffness subsides. I've also got some tightness in my hip now so I am favoring my left side a decent bit. Plan is to rest completely tomorrow, bike monday and then ease in tuesday.

Feeling good about everything. Proud of the progress, proud of how I have handled obstacles during the runs and hoping I can apply that in two weeks for a good effort
