Notes

Long workout today. Idea was 4x2 mile with a half mile recovery. Didn't feel good after the second one because it was into the wind and uphill. First and third were with the wind for the majority of the intervals which helped. After #2, I just committed to running smooth and easy because I was pushing a little harder on the hills which was gassing me. I thought that I would split the last interval, but by the time I got to it, I was feeling better about things, sorted things out in my mind and just ran the split. I'm glad I did. The last half mile was tough but its a pretty decent climb into the wind so I just gutted it out.

I did some comparison to the last few years and this workout does not really compare to anything I did on the club team. I never got past 3x2 mile and that was at 6:10s. I am pleased with how I feel finishing this workout though. Harder place to run than what I will experience with the half. that being said, the half has not had weather to cooperate the last few years. Just gotta expect that it is going to be hard running no matter what.

Note: Did this without coffee or food. Tired of the acidic feeling so trying to see if I can take care of business without relying on it.
