My initial plan for today was 4x1k @85% RP (Bit faster than threshold ~3:40) + 4x1k@ 90% RP (3:32). Due to wind and effort level I modified it to do 600s instead of 1ks at 90%. I think I could have done 1K's based on how it turned out, but I'm not too worried. The wind was really taxing on the back stretch of each repeat and I was having to work harder than I wanted to run 3:40. I never really felt like I eased into the workout until like the last 2 600s, which is why they are a bit faster than the rest of the workout.

Overall, I'm satisfied with today. It was a tougher effort than I expected, namely because of the tough wind and with my modification, I only missed a mile of pace work. I'm tired from the LR still and helping LIbby yesterday took more out of me than I thought. Also, my quads were burning from lifting yesterday. Next week, the plan is to do 8x1k at 90% and I'll be on Urbana's track which has more shelter from the wind, so I expect a more even, consistent workout. I don't really expect my legs to not be sore going into these workouts, but if I manage to still get in quality pace and effort, I think it will pay off at the races. Hillsdale will be a big checkpoint.

My foot is starting to hurt more. Not during the workout, but after and its on the side of my foot now.
