Workout with Justice and Libby. Idea was approach with a certain attitude of being more aggressive in effort. So, this is 'ideal' mile effort. 2:30 recovery in-between everything. Except for the 2's (those were 800 effort). Overall, felt solid. Breathing felt decently in control for the pace. A little strain in the legs after the 4, but felt like we cleared that out by the next rep. Feel like the effort is more intimidating than anything because I've never actually done it for a mile, but hoping I can set expectations aside and just compete Friday (and maybe end up with a personal best)... Foot felt decent during the workout, started feeling it on the cooldown so cut that short.
