Ran with Tom today. Took two gels, one around 7 and the other around 13. It was a pretty unpleasant day to run with a cold wind in our face the first hour. Strength felt sapped pretty early but the first gel helped a lot. Pacing was not quite as streamlined as I wanted and we kept going back and forth across the street which was strange. When we got to 14, I suggested pushing it for a couple miles. 6:30s felt east aerobically but when we finished the two miles, I felt sapped. Probably because that was the furthest I’d gone ag this point. I ended up getting 18 which was the goal, and I’m happy with that
