Not exactly sure what the time was at the 5k when I pulled out. 2k was 7:10 which was a solid opening split. I fell off my group hard after the 2k and just kept getting slower and couldn't pick it back up. This was really disappointing, only the second race I've ever DNF'ed. The downhills on the course were very rough on my back and all the jarring was a little too much. Taking Sunday off. Not sure if I'm running Monday but I'm going to run after that. I'm going to work hard in these workouts and do some exercises to strengthen my back. I might not be running what I expected to at Nationals, but I will be running back.
