Notes

Ran with Jackie at Swallow Cliff. Not sure of the exact distance because we went left and did an out and back at the 2 mile junction (approximately four mile out and back). Her watch was way off on the pacing because she was working hard and it wasn't exactly easy for me (probably the hilliest portion of Swallow Cliff, consistent up and down, very little flat ground). Eventually we made it to the stairs in 63:50 (right around 8 miles, which is probably about right). From there I took a quick pit stop and began a mini-progression run down to goal marathon pace. Not exactly sure what that pace will be, but I made it down to about 6:20-6:30 pace by the end. I probably pushed a little too hard after Big Bertha, but I was also pretty tired from this being my longest run of the summer by 22 minutes. It was tough to progress with the hills, but I think I gave it a good effort and overall I am happy with today's run. It's the first of its kind for the summer and I could have ran further if I desired. My body feels alright now (2 hours later). Funny thinking that this will be the easiest workout of training.
