This was ok. Definitely some self-sabotage from some chicken nachos last night. Initial plan was 3x10, first 10 steady, 2nd 10 threshold, 3rd 10 HMP with two minute surges halfway through each rep. May have been a better plan to just do 3x10 threshold and put the time in but I'm caught between what is more important: having a change of pace in these longer reps to keep your mind active or just lock in and push each interval.

At any rate, I needed a bathroom break after the 2nd rep. Just wanted to make things a little punchier for the last bit, so split it into miles. Did not look at the watch and just ran hard and controlled the first rep, took 60 seconds and then did the same on the second and ran the same time. Nice way to finish.

Last night, our boys ran the fastest 4x8 in 10 years at UHS and it was DQ'd because our anchor leg crossed the line, walked off the turf and dropped the baton (seemingly a natural action after your race). The ref said that he needs to hold on to the baton "forever" and by dropping it, he failed to do so. When is the race over? This is worse than the catch rule in the NFL #trackscandal
