Yes, that's right! First Place win! ok for my age group. It was a lot muddier this year and could get no traction. When I came around the loop to see the leaders and realized I was in 9th place overall and nobody that close behind me, I let up a bit and saved my strength. Plus there was no way I was getting 7:59 pace today even I didn't have a hangover and no solid training. But a great start to a year of racing. Time for me to end my week out with some miles and get some real training in. I'm glad I keep forgetting about this course every year because that down hill is BRUTAL and the uphills are worse. Fun, but man does it hurt. I got to get this weight off. But good day! OH YEAH!! Holy crap, Chris also got first place in his division of the 5k! We both cleaned house today! A nice bonding moment for my daughter's boyfriend!
