Race was awesome!! Even though my legs were stiff from the fast hills Saturday, going up that hill warmed me up, and going down loosened me up. Second lap took the hill a tad slower but strong, and and saved energy for the flat section where I gave it everything I had and then let the downhill take me home. Second lap was 2 minutes faster and I was able to pass people I haven't beat in a while. 57:14@8:11. My watch said it was only 6.9 @8:17 pace, but considering I was very happy with my performance and race effort. Best race of the year.
