Wow, that was a surprisingly tough race of being bumped, shoved, cut off, and clipped. I was banged all around in that mile, I just kept telling myself during the race what Chapman told us at the distance breakdown which was that people are morons and don't freak out if they are in your way. I tried a couple of times in that race to move up and take the lead to help out Christopher but when I made a move to help someone would get in my way. Then at the beginning of the last lap, I was thinking of holding on and get 3rd place but then around 150 left I saw Ian Kelly let up a tiny bit, and then it just went in my head I could get him. For the last 150, I just kept telling myself to get Ian Kelly good thing that I did. Also, I saw him turn his head back and all I thought was what Chapman said Junior year at conference. That was really fun celebrating with Ali and Christopher after the mile and just getting the rest of the team pumped up for their events.
