Notes
I ran the length of island beach state park which is conveniently 8 miles long. All paved with virtually no cars at 6 am. Very consistent pace. The last mile was pretty tough for whatever reason. Anyway dropped about 10 seconds per mile off my prior long runs.
Splits are:
8 miles @ 1:09:50
13.1 miles @ 1:54:50
16 miles @ 2:21:03
It works out to about an 8:48 pace. I think the first 2 splits are at 8:45 ... Which seems accurate as i was hurtina bit towars the end. Weather was 71 degrees with a cross breeze. I am pleased although i need to figure out a way not to get so stressed the day before. Performance anxiety is what freud would call it.
