OK, time to get really serious about this. This is either early shin splints or some sort of chronic compartment syndrome. It's more achy than painful. I can run with it but...
Today feels about the same as yesterday. Kinda in the same place as last week but that improved, even maxing runs to 5-6 miles. Dunno why 8 set me back. Guessing the shoes combines with the distance increase? Running on concrete probably wasn't useful either.
So, strengthening, stretching, easy running, icing, anti-inflammatory meds post run, cross-training...
That said, I've stupidly got three races on tap in the next month. Gotta get this 100% sorted before fall marathon training is upon me.
