Notes
Rode the bike 17 miles out to Ashland for this 17 miler. I was hoping the bike miles would equal a couple miles and make the 17 miler worth a little more. Funny thing about this run. It was easy. The course was generally downhill to Newton so running 7:30s wasn't an issue. Originally I thought once I got to Newton I'd see how much harder it would be to keep that pace through the Newton hills but, since I was feeling good, I decided to drop it to "MP" for a couple miles and even got over Heartbreak in a 6:48 mile. Very interesting, this run. I feel like I'm getting past Boston's "intimidation factor." Of course it will be a different story next month when I have to put all the pieces together and race.
It was a holy pain in the ass to go back to Ashland for my bike, which probably cost me 90 minutes. Fortunately I parked in the DQ parking lot and rewarded myself with a fattening Blizzard.
