Did high point look with extra miles to go over 50. Wasn't concerned with average speed. Just concerned with getting a 50+ mile ride and putting in a good effort up high point from port jervis and the 1400 ft climb. I did the climb in 29 minutes but had a bit of a headwind during the first half. I spent the time spinning just under my lactic threshold. Felt like I could have gone for a bit longer. The only soreness I felt was in the quads and gluts. Very comfortable on the bike with over 50 miles/3 hours. A good start towards a century build. I need only get a 70 miler as easy and I'm good to go.
