Notes

light breeze. Run around. Run to the track, there were a couple walkers who went, and came, and went, the hour or so I was there.

Tried to go very, very easy 6 mile warmup. But I have not been running too many really slow miles lately, so it did end up coming in, timed, under a 7:30 pace. The last mile was a bit closer to 7min, just to make sure I was warm. Then, stretched. Out of fear, I did do some pacing work. I ran 1600 right at 86sec/ lap, because I figured that was what I could do on my best day ever, in the shape I am in right now. Came in the first 100 at 22 sec, and so just pushed it a hair more, and really floated out a 1600 in 5:48.

After the time trial, I tried to keep the pace up on the cooldown lap and run home, just over 4 1/2 , miles. It was important to keep up the pace, so that I could get in a good overall effort for the 18 miles, and come in under 2 hours, if possible.

It looks like the total was a hair under 18.2 miles, in 2:01:30, which included the time trial, and that was important to me. I am now convinced I could run under a 3 hour marathon pretty easily, if last week did not already prove that. But, races count, that's about it, as someone once said.
