Round the Roo indoor 5k. Sixteen and two-thirds laps around the at the University of Akron fieldhouse 300m track. Nice facility. Ran in the third of three heats:

Started with a per lap target of 65-66 seconds (goal of 18:00-18:15.) In the warm-up, 61s came easily so I had to dial it down. Started at the back and hit 64s for the first 4 laps and 5:43 for the mile. Held on for dear life after that.
Didn't think I'd get lapped until the third mile but first place ran sub-15 minutes. Was lapped about 100m before the first mile mark!
Scoring by age grade table. Finished 26th place for men and an adjusted time of 17:16 and age grade of 74.7%
First time racing farther than 2 miles on the track. Early seasons benchmark set.
