Notes
This was one heck of a race... Went out fairly conservative in 5th place ... Some guy from Morrocco was in first and Jim Johnson was in second... Eased my way through the field on the really steep uphills and eventually wound up in first by the summit of the mountain... Too bad the summit wasnt the finish because there was still about 300 meters of downhill left.... and I had no chance... I ran in racing flats with no tred and didnt have enough traction to let it all go on the downhills with out slipping.. I fell twice and had to shuffle down the hill. Still finished third but I should have won easy.... I will get some nice shoes for next year... I have a good shot to take Ascutney next weekend if I can get there on time... All up hill for 4 miles... Time for revenge...
