Notes

I missed yesterday because I felt like crap due to either a cold or a nasty sinus issue. I didn't feel great today, but decided to do the long run today instead of tomorrow anyway. Ate cereal and drank coffee for breakfast and then went to grab some gu, -none there. Plan B was to grab some chewy granola bars and a mini cliff bar. Filled the hydration pack with powerbar endurance and headed out the door.

The first few miles I really had to try to keep it slow, which I didn't do a good job with. Calf started cramping around mile 9 and nothing I tried would loosen it up. After that, I just kept running. Ate the bars at miles 8, 14, and 20, and they were hard as rocks since it was 24 or so degrees out. My calf cramp slowly went away to be replaced with some minor aches and pains, but nothing major.

Goal was to finish off strong with a 8 minute pace, so I sped up a little the last mile. Overall, although picking up the pace at the end was not easy, I was fairly relaxed when finished and felt good.
