Notes

Wow, that sucked. Things started getting bad around mile 17, first got shooting pain in the right lower back, this gradually went lower, to the glutes and then the IT band with a constant dull pain. Gradually this eased off by about mile 21 although my right leg felt like it had run 30 miles instead of only 20.

Meanwhile, pain gradually increased in my left front shin to the point where I had to stop and elevate it, quite a lot. Tried to walk but walking was more painful than running. It never really went away, but it finally became more of a dull ache around mile 33.

Not sure what brought on the back pain, but I'm pretty sure it altered my posture running and caused the shin pain in my left foot.

The trail was pretty nice, but way to flat. Lots of different views, old forest, marsh, lakes, etc. Lots of horse prints left 2 inch holes to dodge around...
