2 x 2 Mi @ ~HMP (2' RJ)
Goal for today was 4 x 2 Mi @ 5:40sh. Obviously that didn't happen. Wind was brutal today. It was blowing in the complete opposite direction as last week, so while the stretch along Long Grove was nice, it felt like nearly the rest of loop was at least partially into the wind. Was working to not completely slow down into the wind, and managed somewhat consistent splits, though slightly off what I was looking for. Still was planning to keep going. While my legs were tight/sore and I was working hard into the wind, I still felt that I could have maintained for another rep or two.
Had to stop after 2 reps because of a bathroom emergency. Had to shuffle over to Charlie Brown to use the porta potty. By the time I got there my legs were cold and I didn't have the heart to resume.
Bummed that I dropped, especially in what I was hoping would be a big confidence boost heading into the half. Can't do much about it now, just gotta move on to the next one.
